My Superfood Collagen Protein Smoothie

I know, bad presentation. Just couldn't wait to drink it.

Ingredients:
1 to 1.5 cups chocolate almond milk
1/4 can whole coconut milk (or light)
1 small banana
1 tsp Maca powder
1 tsp Goji Berries
1 tsp Chia Seeds
1 tsp raw pumpkin seeds
1 scoop of Bone Broth Collagen Powder
about 9 ice cubes from the fridge door.. :)


Definitely NOT vegan
Directions:
Blend the snot out of it until it's creamy yummy
Slam it with a Turmeric capsule, then savor the rest...

So, this thing has a little bit of everything:
  • Maca is rich in vitamin B and vitamins C, and E. It provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids. It has also been know to improve sexual function, energy, mood, and reduce anxiety.
  • Goji's are high-antioxidant, high-nutrient, high in iron, and anti-inflammatory, since they fight free-radical damage. Protein, amino acids, more beta-carotene than carrots! They help build immunity and have a reputation for fighting cancerous cells.
  • Chia seeds are an excellent source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids to help raise "good" cholesterol.
  • Raw pumpkin seeds contain magnesium, copper, zinc, and protein. High in fiber, they are good for your heart, immune system, and are a natural anti-inflammatory.
I try to drink one of these a day. You can adjust any of the amounts to taste. I also take two more Turmeric capsules a day as an anti-inflammatory.
